How To Register

To register for camp, please fill out the registration form below. After the email is received, you will receive an email and invitation to Operoo to register your child for camp weeks and make payment. This may take up to 48 hours. Operoo is a secure online system collects medical and emergency contact information. You will be required to complete your child’s medical and emergency contact information prior to registering for camp. It is imperative that the camp has complete medical and emergency contact information for your child. If you are or were a Bannockburn student or previously attend camp, the camp staff will be using your child’s already-established Operoo account.

When you receive your invitation from Operoo, please take the time to fill out all information, paying particular attention to any section marked required. You will be receiving two medical forms that must be filled out and, while some questions may seem repetitive, please fill out all information so we have complete and accurate information for your child. Operoo is programmed to send out reminder emails until your child’s medical profile is complete, therefore, you will continue to receive emails until the profile is complete. Please have your child’s profile completed prior to the first day of camp.

Please Note: If withdrawal occurs at least 5 days before the start of the registered program week, a $50 administrative fee will be charged. If withdrawal occurs less than. 5 days before the start of the registered program week, no refund will be made.

Type: Summer Day Camp Counsellors

Location: Bannockburn School, Toronto

Bannockburn School is located in North York and is considered a leader in Montessori education. Each year, Bannockburn School offers a Summer Camp for children. We are committed to creating the best possible experience for every camper and great staff are vital to achieving that goal!

The program will be offered from June 24 – August 2 and includes a different theme each week with planned activities, in-house workshops, and programing around each theme. We are looking for counsellors that are committed to working the full six weeks of the program, week days, from 8:00 am – 4:00 pm.

We offer two camp programs; a Toddler and 3-year-old summer program and a 4-12-year-old camp. Please indicate in your cover letter which age group you are applying for and attach your resume to this application. All staff will be required to take part in a paid staff orientation prior to the camp start date.

Reporting to the Camp Director, the Summer Camp Counsellors will be responsible for the day-to-day camp operations. This includes program planning, preparing for the activities, implementing the activities and interacting with the children who attend the day camps. Supervision of children during camp, program activities, events and outside trips to ensure safety for all participants.

Job Qualifications:

• Energetic, enthusiastic and creative individual with some experience working in children
• Ability to communicate in a positive manner and work with a variety of age and skill levels
• Demonstrates desire and ability to work in a cooperative and team-oriented environment
• First Aid/CPR certification is required
• Vulnerable Sector Screening required if over 18 years of age
