Bannockburn’s Toddler Program is open to children between 18 months and 3 years old, with half-day and full-day options available. Our nurturing and peaceful Toddler environments evoke harmony and curiosity in our littlest learners. We strive to create a safe and caring haven that supports the development of the whole child. Thoughtful attention and detail have gone into creating a welcoming Toddler community that fosters physical and psychological development, cultivates budding independence, and helps realize individual potential. Children step into a loving, warm space where everything – from the furniture to the sensory materials – has been created with their rapid growth in mind. A very small teacher-student ratio of 1:5 ensures that each child is given the care he or she needs.
The different routines and activities found within the prepared Toddler environment help the child to gain strength and coordination, and to develop cognitively: Children are stimulated daily with rich language experiences and meaningful social interactions, and are inspired to explore and discover. A dedicated, secure outdoor play area enables Toddlers to actively develop their motor skills and independent toileting and self-reliance are integral components of the program.
Bannockburn School offers a Toddler March Break program and a Summer program only for Bannockburn students. The March Break and Summer programs are extensions of our Toddler program with some exciting additions including classroom time, gym and library experience, art lessons and musical movement activities. The Toddler March Break program runs from March 13th – 17th and the Toddler Summer program from June 26th-August 4th.
